Anthrax, Fall Out Boy & Every Time I Die Supergroup The Damned Things May Have A New Record Coming

Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian is teasing us with talk of a brand new release from his supergroup side-project The Damned Things.

Also featuring key members from Every Time I Die and Fall Out Boy, TDT have been quiet for a few years now, but it looks like that could be about to change.

There were rumours of a new EP in 2016, but now it seems a whole new album could be in the pipeline!

“There is, possibly, a record,” Ian tells Wall Of Sound. “We always knew with The Damned Things, it was always going to be something that we would get to do schedules permitting, because we are all in extremely busy bands.

“But look, we’re all friends and we’re all in contact with each other on a regular basis and I can say that there is, possibly, a record, but that’s all I’m going to say about it [laughs].”

The Damned Things is Ian, alongside ex-Anthrax guitarist and current Volbeat guitarist Rob Caggiano, Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley, Shiner bassist Josh Newton and Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley.

Could 2018 be the year we finally receive the long-awaited follow-up to their 2010 album Ironiclast?

While we wait to find out, you can catch Scott Ian live on his spoken word Australian tour next month.
