Aussie Airline Loses Flume’s Presents On Christmas Day

Whether you’re suffering from your Christmas hangover, or have decided to steer into the skid and keep the merry times rolling through Boxing Day, Aussies everywhere are enjoying the hot weather and merry times as the year draws to a close.

But it turns out that Chrissy wasn’t all it was cracked up to be for Aussie golden boy Flume, who found himself ready to fly to Vancouver yesterday but was still waiting for his bags to arrive from a previous flight.

The multi-ARIA award winner has had an absolutely stellar 2016, but yesterday took to Instagram to try to resolve the fact that Virgin Australia was still yet to find his bag – and to make matters worse all of his family presents were inside.

“Hey @virginaustralia you lost my bag yesterday and still haven’t found it. It has all my family Christmas presents in it plus I’m flying to Vancouver in a few hours. Please help!!” wrote Flume.

Luckily, Flume’s loyal fanbase were on the case, tagging @VirginAustralia hundreds and hundreds of times and absolutely blasting the airline for what they were putting their boy through on Christmas of all days.

And sure enough, Virgin were quick to respond, asking Flume to DM them.

From the sounds of things, whatever help Virgin tried to give was decidedly unhelpful, with Flume responding that their international baggage handling department never got back to him and that their domestic department even hung up on him!

That was the end of the correspondence, between the artist and the airline, so we’re not sure whether Flume ended up getting his presents back or had to make his trip present-less.

Though the amount of scathing comments continuing to pile up on the Instagram post are a pretty good lesson for Virgin Australia that if you get on the wrong side of Flume his fan-based might absolutely ‘Lose It’.
