Drip World have announced that they’ve been forced to push back festival dates due to visa issues ‘beyond their control’ today.
The festival, which included the likes of Migos, Akon and French Montana on its bill, was scheduled to hit Australia from late this month, kicking off in Sydney on August 31. The new dates and final lineup and now set to be confirmed in the next weeks, moving forward to January 2020.
“We have waited until the 11th hour, in hopes that we would receive visas for some of the key artists performing on our incredible Drip World line-up and until this morning we have not received those visas,” say the organisers in a Facebook post.
“It has to be noted that we have no doubts that everyone on our line-up will be granted a visa into Australia. However, with delays in getting the submissions through for approval, there is no guarantee that they will all be granted in time for the festival tour starting this weekend.
“We couldn’t risk not to deliver the artists we promised so a decision has been made by the Drip Team with everyone’s support to move the festival from Winter to Summer.”
Tickets already purchased will be valid for the rescheduled dates, and refunds will be available from Monday, 2nd September for those who are unable to attend the new dates. You can contact [email protected] for further information if you have urgent enquiries.
