Australia’s Queer Music Festival Gaytimes Unveils 2017 Lineup

Dust off your sparkliest set of speedos, because Gaytimes Festival has just announced its 2017 lineup, and it’s fabulous.

Self-described as “the camping festival of your big gay dreams”, Gaytimes is back for round two, bringing even more flair than last year.

This all-inclusive LGBTIQ weekend-long event will be set in the stunning surrounds of Lake Mountain Alpine Resort in Marysville, Victoria, which is about an hour and a half drive from Melbourne’s CBD. It will see the likes of style-smashing super-singer Ngaiire, feminist pop-punker Ali Barter, perpetual bringers-of-the-party Broadway Sounds, dance-inducing Mojo Juju and more perform in February.

It’s an 18+ event which allows punters to BYO (don’t mind if we do!) and will feature performance and visual art, DJs, light projections, yoga, movies, workshops and even speed dating. There will also be a cocktail bar, food and coffee available on site.

Gaytimes will feature gender neutral bathrooms, extra camping areas, extra volunteers, and of course a zero-tolerance policy for any anti-social, homophobic, transphobic or racist behaviour. Capacity for the festival is strictly limited to 1,000 people, and early bird passes have already sold out. First release tickets plus VIP glamping are on sale today.
