Azealia Banks Weighs in on VMAs – Contest Of The Basics

So it was bound to happen, Queen La-Beef-a Azealia Banks has let us all know how she feels about the VMAs, in particular the whole Miley Cyrus/Nicki Minaj beef.

Picking up her weapon of choice, aka Twitter, she first fired off a bitter bard at Miley over her hosting.

“Miley Cyrus HAS to know her shit is whack as fuck. It has to be a joke… Isn’t she making fun of herself? Yes? No?”

No happy with just a small side of beef though, Azealia went full porterhouse, aiming her beef cannon straight at Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift, writing; “It’s so funny to wake up and see Nicki and Miley or Nicki and Taylor fighting when you ALL make basic ass music.”

In case that wasn’t clear enough, she went Wagyu again, clarifying, “All of y’all bitches are whack and make boring music and rip all ur styles off the downtown NYC girls.”

But the beef was burning strong within her belly this night, with a stream of increasingly wide aiming tweets spewing forth from the tenacious tweeter. “IT’S A CONTEST OF THE BASICS,” she decried, “BASIC BASIC BASIC” she chanted.

It all reached a head hours later, when at 1:31am she stepped once more into the fray, this time laying the blame for the currently state of music and culture at the feet of that most vilified of decades, the 1980s, and of all people, nerds.

“Money started coming into the music industry in the 80s and they fired all the artists and hired a bunch of nerds with phds.”

“That’s why culture sucks… Because everyone who’s in control is a fucking NERD with some bum ass business degree and they get to call shots.”

Things then got even weirder, when she started talking about skin bleaching. Never change Azealia.

“But as for skin bleaching, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.”

“White women pump up their butts and lips and no one is accusing them of self hate so…..”
