Beyonce Accused Of Being Prima Donna At V Festival By Travis Frontman

Beyonce raised ire backstage at Britain’s V Festival last weekend. She’s been accused of diva behaviour after she “locked down” much of the backstage area, raising complaints from other acts on the bill.

Singer Fran Healy of Scottish band Travis, best known for their 1999 hit Why Does It Always Rain On Me?, had a few choice words to say regarding the R&B singer’s behaviour, telling The Daily Record:

Beyoncé locked down the entire backstage area for an hour. Everyone was affected…You’d ask ‘Can I just go there?’ and they’d say ‘No. You can’t cross this little street.

Everyone was just following orders from the gang. I guess that’s how Americans do it but it’s not how we do it in the UK.

Healy was also critical of Mrs. Carter, who was headlining the event, arriving to the stage almost 30 minutes late, which prompted boos from her audience. Healy said, “She was headlining the main stage and was half an hour late…The whole area was cut off as if there had been a nuclear disaster.”
