UPDATE 17/09/14: Beyond The Valley have unveiled even more artists on their second lineup announcement.
The news that Phillip Island was getting a brand new festival experience was met with a surge of excitement and now punters have even more reason to be happy with the announcement of the inaugural Beyond The Valley lineup, featuring Action Bronson, AlunaGeorge, Dillon Francis, Midnight Juggernauts, Ball Park Music, The Preatures and more.
Last month, organisers officially confirmed the first three acts set for the launch of BTV. After Preatures frontwoman Isabella Manfredi revealed that the soulful Sydney crew would be making an appearance, organisers confirmed the news and offered up two more names for good measure.
After wowing crowds during Eminem‘s acclaimed Rapture tour and unfortunately bowing out of this year’s Groovin The Moo, Action Bronson will finally return Down Under. Meanwhile, our very own Peking Duk will be celebrating what’s been a massive 12 months for the dance duo in style.
Meanwhile, London electronic duo AlunaGeorge were hotly rumoured for the lineup after the Cosmo’s Midnight remix of their track Superstar was featured in the festival’s announcement video (see below), and now the pair have been confirmed alongside Cosmo’s Midnight as well.
Other artists on the official bill include Pond, Bag Raiders, Willow Beats, Nina Las Vegas, Collarbones and Basenji. The full list of artists is available below.
Beyond The Valley is a new event that comes out of the ashes of the dearly departed Pyramid Rock festival, a two-day-and-night event which used to descend on Victoria’s famed Phillip Island every NYE until “tough economic conditions” unfortunately saw it come to a close in 2013.
Spread across two stages and two days, Beyond The Valley hopes to bring something new and exciting to the island. “Through its focus on production, décor and theming, Beyond The Valley will create a separate world to the one outside the festival,” reads a statement from event organisers.
Part of that unique world will be Beyond The Valley’s state-of-the-art VIP camping facilities, as well as the event’s much-talked-about hangover spa, where punters can rejuvenate between sets from the incredible performance roster with masks supplying 30 minutes of hospital-grade oxygen.
Those just looking to enjoy some awesome tunes and food and beverage services that organisers promise will be “held to a higher standard” than other similar festivals, among an expected turnout of 10,000 punters, there will be a regular camping area that is free to all festival ticket-holders.

Tickets for all who pre-registered will go on sale 11am AEST on Wednesday, 13th August ($279.00 + BF). Punters interested in pre-registered advance bookings have just half a day left to register.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 9am AEST on Friday, 15th August ($299.00 + BF)
