Billie Eilish Thought The Spice Girls Were Fictional & We Have Questions

Namely, those questions are: What? How? Huh?

Billie Eilish, 17 years old, is currently at the top of all the charts in the world but that doesn’t mean she isn’t human. Humans all make mistakes, and Eilish’s latest comes in the form of her believing that the Spice Girls were fictional until recently.

In all fairness to her, everything about the Spice Girls – and the 90s in general – was completely ridiculous so it wouldn’t be too unreasonable for someone born this millennium to surmise that maybe they weren’t real. But still…ZIG A ZIG AHH?!

In a recent interview with Capital FM, via NME, Eilish confessed that she thought the band was made for the movie Spiceworld.

She thought it was “a made-up movie about a group of girls who sang.”

“I thought all the music was written for the movie,” she said.

“I thought all the characters were cast for those characters. I didn’t figure it out until two years ago.”

However, Eilish and Spice girl Mel C actually linked up last year when the latter saw the teen superstar perform in London.

“Billie is an extraordinary talent and seeing young girls screaming with her every move and singing every word of her lyrics, gave me goosebumps,” Mel C wrote.

While four out of five Spice Girls prepare to reunite for their UK tour, Eilish is about to head on down under for a headline tour of her own, as well as performances at Groovin The Moo.
