Tickets for next January’s Ocean Sounds Festival sold out in such a rush that event organisers decided to put together a second day of festivities. They’ve now unveiled the full lineup for day two, topped by Sydney folk-rockers Boy & Bear.
The newly scheduled event takes place on Sunday, 9th January, one day after the original Ocean Sounds. The event site is located on Churchill Island (aka Phillip Island/Millowl), roughly 125km south of Melbourne.
Gretta Ray, Jack Botts, Birdz, Maddy May and The Garden Age will join Boy & Bear, while Oceans Sounds promises to showcase local wines and cheeses and feature a number gourmet food vans. To stay in the loop regarding pre-sale tickets, people are encouraged to join the Ocean Sounds mailing list.
The lineup for Ocean Sounds’ sold-out first day, happening on Saturday, 8th January, features The Teskey Brothers, Pierce Brothers, Kee’ahn, Cool Out Sun, Carissa Nyalu and Invy Horn Jam.
“It’s time for picnic rugs, smiling friends, stunning local wines, gourmet food, the summer-sun softly setting over the ocean and some of Australia’s most amazing live music,” Ocean Sounds said in a statement. “Attendees are invited to bring their family, friends, good vibes and to enjoy a memorable experience of quality music in a relaxed, atmospheric and picturesque environment.”
