Actor RJ Mitte, who played Walter White Jr. in the much-loved, drug-fuelled, sadly-missed drama series Breaking Bad, is set to take his talents onto the mixing desk during a Breaking Bad-themed event in New York, titled Breaking Beats.
Mitte is primed to lay down some beats at New York’s B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on the 10th of April. “That’s right, a Breaking Bad-themed DJ set from the breakfast master himself,” as the promoter has so perfectly described it.
There’s no indication of what Mitte will be spinning on the night, but we’re hoping it includes the Frozen/Breaking Bad parody Do You Want to Build a Meth Lab? (below), as well as the show’s killer theme song.
Tickets for the show are currently selling for around USD $40, with “VIP Bottle & Table Experience” packages going for a cool USD $500. So if you’re in New York and desperate to see what kind of back-breaking beats and crystalline melodies the man formerly known as Flynn, formerly known as Walt Jr, plays on the night, visit the ticket vendor’s website.
There’s no public plans to bring Breaking Beats or RJ Mitte down under, but stranger things have happened. Last year, actor Kristian Nairn, who portrays Hodor in the well-pirated HBO series Game Of Thrones, undertook an Australian DJ tour, and called it Rave Of Thrones.
We can only dream.
