Bruce Springsteen’s Australian Connection On New Album

The one and only Bruce Springsteen is continuing his love affair with all things Aussie, with The Boss today revealling he’ll be releasing his cover of Brisbane punk legends The Saints‘ track Just Like Fire Would on his new album, High Hopes.

The legendary singer-songwriter played his take on the 1986 track live when he played in Brisbane earlier this year, which featured on the Chris Bailey-fronted outfit’s seminal All Fool’s Day record. High Hopes is the follow-up to this year’s Wrecking Ball and features Springsteen’s best unreleased material from the last decade.

The album is a solo effort, but will feature work from former E Street Band members Clarence Clemons and Danny Federici, who passed away in 2008 and 2011 respectively, as well as many appearances from Rage Against The Machine‘s Tom Morello.

High Hopes is scheduled for Aussie release on 14th January, while his Down Under tour kicks off on 14th March in Brisbane.
