Canberra’s Spilt Milk Festival Is Expanding To Ballarat In 2019, Lineup To Come This Week

Since its inception in 2016, Canberra’s Spilt Milk Festival has only gotten better. The festival has seen the likes of Flume, Gang Of Youths, and Lorde play as well as (very-nearly) Childish Gambino. Now, after a month of speculation we can confirm it’s expanding to Ballarat.

Organisers have confirmed the one-day festival will be hitting up Ballarat’s Victoria Park and will of course be returning to Canberra.

The full lineup will be announced from 7am this Thursday morning. We’re pretty confident Khalid will be there though.

A couple of months ago Khalid announced he’d be touring Australia. Part of his tour announcement included two dates for shows in Canberra and Ballarat, but both venues were ‘To Be Announced’. A website titled ‘Khalid TBA’ surfaced too. It was a simple website allowing you to sign up to hear what the news is.

No news has been sent out yet, but all signs point to Spilt Milk.

Ballarat’s Spilt Milk venue, Victoria Park will have space for 25,000 punters which is around the same as Groovin’ The Moo’s Canberra stint and roughly half the size of Splendour In The Grass.

This is a well-needed win after the closing of Ballarat’s Karova Lounge last month.

Last year’s lineup featured the likes of The Wombats, RL Grime, Skeggs, Vera Blue, Peking Duk, and loads more.

Last year’s Spilt Milk Festival sold out in less than 30 minutes and organisers reckon this one’s the most exciting to date — so sign up for that pre-sale!
