Chance The Rapper Ranked Kanye West’s Albums, But The Internet Doesn’t Agree

This morning, Chance The Rapper took to Twitter to rank the albums of his mentor, Kanye West, and he’s sent the internet into a frenzy in the process.

Chance’s list, which you can check out below, was made in response to a Complex article whose Kanye rankings Chance just couldn’t agree with.

“How am I supposed to keep reading this after you put Late Registration 2nd to last?” he tweeted, before adding “*Tyra Banks’ “We were all rooting for you” gif*”

Here’s that gif now, just for you, Chance.

Chance ended up ranking Yeezy’s albums by favouring most of Kanye’s earlier work (yep, he misses the old Kanye), putting Late Registration, The College Dropout and Graduation in first, second and fourth place respectively. Here’s how his complete ranking looked:

Since Chance posted his rankings, he’s returned to Twitter to outline some of the things he thinks Complex got wrong. “The LateReg writeup didnt once mention ‘Hey Mama’. Coulda had 3 paragraphs on its live performances, influence and juxtaposition of later work,” he wrote.

Following that, he shared this gem:

Since Chance shared his rankings, the internet has been scrambling to put together its own rankings under the #KanyeRanked hashtag, and they’re pretty different to Chance’s…

In the end, it’s all subjective, but these disagreements were Bound 2 happen.
