Chanel Loren has shared a new single, entitled ‘Zone’. It marks the English-Australian singer’s second release of 2024, following the February release of ‘Carelessly Doomed’ – which features a guest verse from Kota The Friend. Loren also served as the track’s sole writer, with production handled by the team of Ross James and Ric Ruffio.
“[This] is an open letter to modern-day dating,” said Loren of ‘Zone’ in a press statement. “It highlights the phases of having a crush, to lust, to being unsatisfied with a love interest. The song dances with my internal thoughts on the cat-and-mouse games we play. Not even liquid courage can help me win in this dating scene.”
To support the release of ‘Zone’, an accompanying music video has been shared for the single. It was directed and produced by Munasib Hamid. It can be viewed below.

2023 saw Loren collaborate with GAZAL on the track ‘Molly Sucks (At Parties)’, in addition to receiving her first-ever ARIA nomination. She was nominated for Best Soul/R&B Release at the 2023 ceremony for her 2022 single ‘Rollin’, but ultimately lost to Forest Claudette in the category.
