Ciara Served With Legal Papers While Performing On Stage

1, 2, Step singer Ciara just got served, literally. The 27-year-old R & B vocalist was midway through a performace at Los Angeles Gay Pride last Saturday night when she got served with legal papers relating to a concert non-appearance.

The dramaz all began when Ciara reportedly did a no-show for a scheduled appearance at gay club The Factory in West Hollywood last Friday night. The singer’s people told Fact Mag that her “commitment to perform at Los Angeles Gay Pride on Saturday night prevented her from making such a Friday night appearance. Despite being notified early last week that Ciara could not appear, The Factory continued to market and promote Ciara’s appearance.”

The Factory is singing a different tune, however – they say they were advised that Ciara would still be performing and they’re now taking the singer to court as a result. The club’s people knew exactly where the 27-year-old vocalist would be on Saturday night and thus decided to serve Ciara with the legal papers on stage, right in the middle of her song Promise. As you can probably imagine, Ciara threw them right on back and got on with her show.

Ciara’s self-titled fifth album is set for release this July.
