Nikki from Pagan tries to assassinate Slatts from King Parrot in the raucous new music video from Clowns.
The Melbourne punks’ cinematic joyride of a new clip is soundtracked by the politically-charged headbanger ‘Freezing In The Sun’, which actually tackles some pretty serious shit.
“Tell me what the fuck I am supposed to do / when I know my taxes are paying for kids to be held in Nauru”, frontman Stevie Williams screeches in verse 1.
By contrast, the clip is pretty lighthearted, featuring a young woman (Nikki) on a path to take out a political figure (Slatts) after her Newstart allowance is (presumably) frozen, but encountering a few hurdles along the way.
The clip also features comedian Johnathan Schuster and (naturally) all the Clowns lads and ladette, and to celebrate its release, the band are also heading out on a huge six-date national tour this September and October.
