Empire Of The Sun are bringing their spectacular live show back home in 2027, announcing a five-date Australian tour for February and March.
Dubbed the Ask That God: Afterlife Tour, the run will take Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore’s technicolour universe to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, following a kickoff show across the ditch in Auckland.

The Australian leg will begin at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Sunday, 21st February before heading to Sydney’s Afterpay Arena, Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl and Adelaide Entertainment Centre, wrapping up with a hometown show at Perth’s RAC Arena on Saturday, 6th March.
The new production is being billed as the final live instalment of the Ask That God journey, expanding on the world Empire Of The Sun introduced with their latest album and subsequent global tour.
“Ask That God: Afterlife feels like a tour of unknowns and possibilities – new visions, new plateaus, fragile breakthroughs,” Steele said in a statement.
“I think things are going to happen on this tour that have never happened before. We can’t wait to take this music and this tour to new frontiers. Let’s break barriers together.”
Empire Of The Sun kicked off their current touring chapter following the release of Ask That God in 2024, their first album in eight years.
Featuring singles including Changes, Music On The Radio and Cherry Blossom, the record marked the duo’s long-awaited follow-up to 2016’s Two Vines.
Since the accompanying tour began in 2024, Empire Of The Sun have reportedly shifted more than 400,000 tickets around the world, with the newly reimagined Afterlife production promising to dial up the scale, colour and theatricality of their live show even further.
Of course, there’ll also be plenty of material to draw from across the duo’s stacked back catalogue, which includes global hits Walking On A Dream, We Are The People and Alive.
Frontier Members can access presale tickets from 1pm local time on Wednesday, 16th September, before general tickets go on sale from 2pm local time on Friday, 18th September.
