Concert Venue Denies Claims Lack Of Security Led To Bring Me The Horizon Fan’s Death

A London concert venue where a Bring Me The Horizon fan died over the weekend has denied claims that a lack of security contributed to the male fan’s death.

London’s Alexandra Palace has issued its second statement since the tragic incident, responding to what it said was “inaccurate information quoted on social media”.

“Following the statement made last night, we would like to clarify that this was a tragic medical incident and unrelated to the extensive security measures in place at all of or our events,” a representative told The Independent.

“There were over 150 security personnel on site for the concert.

“Alexandra Palace has an experienced events team with security and full medical team stationed throughout the site. We work closely with our local authority, licensing and the emergency services to ensure that regulations and requirements relating to the planning of an event are always executed to a high standard.”

Emergency services were reportedly called to Alexandra Palace around 10pm Friday, 30th November, but the male fan died at the scene.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, “We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an advanced paramedic and our hazardous area response team to the scene.

“Our first medic arrived in less than three minutes. Sadly the patient died at the scene.”

Following the incident, Bring Me The Horizon also shared a statement with fans, saying, “Words cannot express how horrified we are feeling this evening after hearing about the death of a young man at our show last night.

“Our hearts and deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones at this terrible time. We will comment further in due course.”

Bring Me The Horizon will tour Australia in April next year in support of their upcoming album AMO.
