Looks Like Bring Me The Horizon’s New Album Will Feature A Collab With Billie Eilish

Prepare your eardrums: it looks like one of the biggest metal-meets-pop crossovers in recent memory could be coming our way in 2024. Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes has just sent tongues into maximum wag mode, dropping a strong hint that the band’s forthcoming studio album, POST HUMAN: NeX GEn is packing a blockbuster collab with the one and only Billie Eilish.

It all started during Bring Me’s year-opening gig last Tuesday (9th January) in Cardiff, Wales, when the band played some snippets of unreleased NeX GEn songs for the audience, visualised on a large screen on a fake old school MP3 player. One of those tracks was entitled ‘Limousine’.

“Limousine”

At the same time, over stateside, Eilish was celebrating her victory at the 81st Golden Globe Awards, after scooping up the trophy for Best Original Song (‘What Was I Made For?’ from the Barbie soundtrack). Sykes left two comments on the popstar’s post about her big win. The first said “Sick,” followed by a second that said simply “limousine”.

Subtle as Sykes’s hint may be, fans online have taken it as confirmation that Billie will feature on BMTH’s forthcoming NeX GEn single ‘Limousine’.

The collab definitely makes sense. Bring Me the Horizon have already shown their love for Eilish, covering her song ‘When the Party’s Over’ for a live performance on BBC Radio 1 back in 2019. While Billie’s own love of heavy music has been well-documented. The unconventional popstar has previously spotted repping merch from the likes of Type-O Negative, Cradle of Filth and Rob Zombie and recently collaborated live with Paramore on one of their classic pop-punk tracks.

The news of the prospective collab comes after Bring Me The Horizon dropped a new single dubbed ‘Kool-Aid’, their first in 11 years not to involve key songwriter, keyboardist and production guru, Jordan Fish. Fish shocked fans just before Christmas, announcing his sudden departure from the band.

‘Kool-Aid’ follows on from previous singles ‘DArkSide’, ‘LosT’, ‘AmEN!’, ‘DiE4u’ and ‘sTraNgeRs’, which will all reportedly feature on the band’s forthcoming studio album, POST HUMAN: NeX GEn, which we’re told will be released some time this year (after a few prior delays).

Meanwhile, Aussie fans can catch Bring Me The Horizon on tour this April, performing seven huge arena shows across Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane.
