English metalcore band Architects have announced that Counterparts and Thornhill will support them on their Australian tour next month. Kicking off in Adelaide on the 17th February, the band will then head to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Canada’s Counterparts have been on the scene for more than 15 years, with their seventh album, A Eulogy for Those Still Here, arriving in October last year. The upcoming dates will be their first Australian shows since 2019.
Architects – ‘a new moral low ground’
Melbourne’s Thornhill last embarked on a national tour in October 2022. The group released their second full-length album Heroine in June. Heroine brought the group their greatest success to date, reaching #3 on the ARIA charts.
This will be Architects’ first trek to Australia since a one-off appearance at the 2020 Unified Gathering and a full-length tour in 2019. The band’s tenth album, the classic symptoms of a broken spirit, was released in October last year and became their fourth consecutive record to reach the Australian top ten.
