Melbourne-bred synth pop vanguards Cut Copy have announced they will be hitting the Australian highways once again for a quick run of East Coast dates this May, in support of their fourth studio album, Free Your Mind, the band’s acclaimed, Hacienda-ready tribute to early dance music.
The band began teasing fans with the new album back in September, unveiling coordinates to several Free Your Mind billboards that had been placed in disparate locations around the globe. Once fans arrived at their destination, they were finally treated to the album’s lead single.
Since then, the band have not only released the album to high acclaim, but have been criss-crossing the world playing headline shows from Chile to Chicago, as well as making stops in Peru and Siberia, and playing several prestigious festival dates at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and others.
“The call of overseas touring has made our time at home less frequent than we may have liked over recent years. We’re really looking forward to this opportunity to perform our new show and songs from our new record to home audiences,” says frontman Dan Whitford. Full tour details below.
