Dave Grohl Performs On Stage With The Rolling Stones During World Tour

Dave Grohl just turns up everywhere, doesn’t he? Yep, D. Grizzle was the latest in a long line of guests to join Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and the rest of The Rolling Stones on stage for their 50 And Counting tour, taking to the stage to sing and play guitar in California last Saturday night.

Dave leapt into the limelight to play guitar on the 1971 track Bitch from The Stones’ classic Sticky Fingers album, as well as sharing the mic and spitting some lyrics with Sir Mick. Former Stones guitarist Mick Taylor was also a special guest for the show, playing on Midnight Rambler and (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.

Grohl and Taylor are just 2 of a huge number of heavy-weight special guests that have popped up on the tour so far. Tom Waits joined the band in Oakland, California earlier in the month for their classic Willie Dixon cover Little Red Rooster, while Gwen Stefani provided vocals for Wild Horses on the opening night of the tour in Los Angeles. Katy Perry draped herself in leather and sang on Beast Of Burden at the 11th May show in Las Vegas, while John Mayer popped up for the third time in recent memory to play Champagne And Reefer with the band, proving that there’s no accounting for taste.

Meanwhile, Mr Grohl has been no stranger to classic rockin’ good times of late, dressing up with Foo Fighters bandmate Taylor Hawkins to pay tribute to Rush at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction back in April.
