Rising hip-hop artist Destroy Lonely has announced his debut Australian headline shows for early next year. The Atlanta rapper and singer will play two headline dates in the country: on Monday, 8th January at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne, and on Tuesday, 9th January at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney.
Destroy Lonely – otherwise known as Bobby Wardell Sandimanie III – was already locked in to perform at Beyond The Valley and Wildlands festivals over the New Year’s period. Sorry to Adelaide punters, but Destroy Lonely won’t be hanging around to play that city’s leg of the festival.
Destroy Lonely: ‘how u feel?’
The rapper is here supporting his debut studio album If Looks Could Kill, which followed early breakout mixtapes like NO STYLIST, and Darkhorse. He’s signed to Playboi Carti’s label, Opium.
“This is my debut album, and this is how I’m going to be able to actually speak for myself from where I’m at so people can see my perspective on the world,” Lone told Paper mag earlier this year.
“Now I’m at a point where I’m comfortable with exactly how it sounds. I got to do everything I wanted to do and now I just want to put it out. Everything after this is going to be the same way. However long it takes me to feel this comfortable is however long it takes.”
