Dizzee Rascal Announces Groovin The Moo Sideshows

Written by Greg Moskovitch on February 13, 2014

One of the quickest wits and smartest mouths ever to come out of London, the always tongue-in-cheek Dizzee Rascal has announced that in addition to his place on the highly-anticipated 2014 Groovin The Moo roster, he will embark on a run of East Coast headline dates presented by Music Feeds!

Once a 19-year-old from East London with a raw talent and an explosive energy ready to be tapped, Dizzee Rascal has gone on to not only garner high acclaim from critics for albums such as the Mercury Prize winning Boy In Da Corner, but amass a global legion of devoted fans.

Those fans have seen him through five studio albums, including 2013’s The Fifth. In Australia, his singles from 2009’s Tongue n’ Cheek, Holiday, a collaboration with Calvin Harris, and Bonkers, a collab with Armand van Helden, reached platinum and double platinum status respectively.

“Australia, for me, it’s for life,” Dizzee recently told Music Feeds‘ own Mike Hohnen when we interviewed him for the latest instalment of Music Feeds Podcast. “As long as I’m doing what I’m doing, it’s a given [I’ll visit]. It’s an important place for me. I have so much fun there, I love it.”

Dizzee explained that while he’s not up to speed on the ethos behind Australia’s most recognised rural touring festival, he knows that “it’s full of Australian people, so for me, that’s already a good time. When I come to that side of the world…I’ve got so much history there.”

Dizzee last graced our shores when he toured as part of Future Music Festival, bringing his whip smart punchlines, trademark accent, tongue-tying flow, and earth-eroding bass for shows that had punters hailing the name Dizzee Rascal, and now he’s back to make floors shake once again.

The Frontier Members pre-sale for Dizzee Rascal’s headlining Australian tour kicks off 2:00pm AEST Tuesday, 18th February and runs until 2:00pm AEST Wednesday, 19th February or until pre-sale allocation is exhausted. Readers can check below for all dates and venue and ticketing details.
