DJ Spooky’s live performance of “The Secret Song” takes off where his new CD and DVD release of the same name leaves off. The show will feature a live video mix made from stock exchange transactions, carbon footprint data in real time, and oh yes, the clock of the National Debt. Following in the footsteps of Michael Nyman and Cinematic Orchestra, and other concept DVD albums by electronic music artists like Dj Shadow (In Tune and on Time), and The Invisible Scratch Picklz (Wavetwisters), DJ Spooky ups the ante on what a Dj concept album is all about.
