Domeyko/Gonzalez playing The Worker’s Club in Melbourne this Sat Nov 5th

Recently announced to be playing at the Keystone Festival Bar as part of Sydney Festival, alongside Tune-Yards and Jonti, Domeyko/Gonzalez are making their way down south to Melbourne this weekend, the Sydney trio launching their new single Sunshower at The Workers Club this Saturday Nov 5th by staging a very special double drummer show with good friend Jonathan Edmonds, with support from Free Choice Duo and Superstar as well as Sydney producer SunSun (Disco Club) and DJ/sampler set from B. Deep (Whipped Cream Chargers), with Joel Burrows along to provide visuals to top it all off.

The first taste of their forthcoming debut LP, Exploding the Beauty Myth, Sunshower is a charged up piece of beats driven electronica, topped off with powerful harmonised vocals and vicious live drums courtesy of the band’s resident skin wizard Jasper Fenton (Decoder Ring). Renowned for their intense and genre hopping live shows, the abnd often touching on everything from ambient electronica to industrial noise, early 90’s rave and dance to passages of neo-classical minimalism, the boys are teaming up with ex Pets With Pets drummer Jonathan Edmonds for a double drummer extravaganza in recognition of how excited they are to be back in Melbourne. Here’s a taste of what to expect taken from their show at Tone in August.

With the synthscapes of Free Choice Duo and the driving lo-fi Australiana of Superstar adding to the experience, not to mention the drum machine based dance music of SunSun and B. Deep’s break beat littered slices of instrumental hip hop, this is a show not to be missed.
