Electro pop kings Empire Of The Sun have decided to add a bit of kick to your weekend, revealing not only a release date for their new single DNA, but also a remix bundle from artists like Calvin Harris, Alex Metric and Brodinski, as well as a five-track video EP, Live At The Sydney Opera House. Wowzers.
The video EP is out today via Vevo, with Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore giving fans a taste of their performance at this year’s Vivid festival. Once that’s whetted your appetite, you can put 5th September in your diary – that’s the date the DNA video will be dropping. It’s the second single from their Ice On The Dune album and you can watch an advance tease of the production below.
The single itself will be out on 24th September, as well as the remix bundle, which sounds like perfect timing to get us all hepped up on goofballs for Empire Of The Sun’s performance at Stereosonic this November and December, the perfect place for you to judge whether the duo’s tunes are indeed better than Daft Punk‘s.
