Falls Festival Byron Bay Sold Out, Marion Bay Still Selling

With a massive lineup featuring the likes of Vampire Weekend, The Roots, MGMT, and Grizzly Bear, it’s only natural that tickets for Falls Festival 2013/2014 Byron Bay ran out fast. Now that Byron Bay has gone the way of Lorne in exhausting allocation, the only place fans can catch all the Falls ’13/’14 action is Marion Bay, Tasmania.

The Falls event in Marion Bay has always attracted a large interstate crowd, with organisers saying that nearly 60% of 2012’s sold out crowd travelled from mainland Australia. Many turned their Falls visit into a larger Tasmanian holiday, enjoying everything that Tasmania in the summer has to offer, including “the natural splendour of the coastlines, mountaintops and winding roads.”

The organisers of Falls are proud to offer punters coming from afar plenty of lodging options, ensuring a “smooth and fuss free” trek. The “Gimme Shelter” ticketing options have been expanded and are selling fast. This option provides revellers with “a tent already set up on arrival and a sleeping mat.” Meanwhile, the “Tepee Life” option offers punters the ability to “hire the use of 2,4 or 6 man tepee made with fun designs from discarded corporate advertising banners.”

Falls is an ALL AGES event, with plenty of options for those bringing their families. There’s a family only camping ground where those with kids can relax in the company of other families. There’s also plenty of interactive activities as part of the Village arts programming, including “circus workshops, craft corners, large scale sculpture classes, face painting stations, beauty salons, art parades and many more.”
