Falls Festival Replaces Robyn & Royksopp With Two New Acts

Hoping to quell fan disappointment following the announcement that neither Robyn nor Royksopp will be appearing at the 2014/2015 Falls Music & Arts and Southbound festivals, organisers have announced they will be replacing the headliners with two new acts, Empire Of The Sun and La Roux.

“We’re super jazzed to announce not one, but two of music’s greatest dance-pop heavyweights will be stepping up,” said Falls and Southbound organisers in a statement. “Please welcome the following superstar artists will be joining the 2014 line-up and heading to Lorne, Marion Bay and Byron this summer.”

Australia’s alt-electronic pioneers Empire Of The Sun will return home from their recent worldwide tour performing tracks from their loved albums Ice On The Dune and Walking On A Dream. A festival favourite for many years, they are renown for adventure-filled live shows, packed full with costume changes, bright lights, dancers and barrels of fun.

Last in the country in 2010, Bulletproof hit-maker La Roux will return to Australia for Falls and Southbound, armed with her new release Trouble In Paradise, as well as all the hits from her 2009 Grammy Award winning self-titled debut album.

The statements from the festivals did not make any mention of possible sideshows for the two new acts. These artists will share the stage with already announced acts like alt-J, Cold War Kids, and SBTRKT.
