Röyksopp Cancels Australian Tour

Röyksopp have cancelled their upcoming Australian tour, which included appearances at Falls Festival, Southbound and headline shows. The cancellation comes after Robyn pulled out of the tour earlier this week due to a “personal family matter“.

Both acts were scheduled to perform together as Röyksopp & Robyn at Falls, Southbound and their own joint “state-of-the-art” one-off headlining shows, behind collaborative mini-album Do It Again, released earlier this year. Röyksopp issued a statement, via Falls, apologising to fans.

“We are very sorry to have to let you know that we will not be able to come to Australia,” said Röyksopp. “We have looked into possibilities to put together our own show in lieu of Robyn & Röyksopp performances but unfortunately are unable to produce this in time.”

The Norwegian duo, who have also cancelled their scheduled performances with Robyn in Japan, added they are “currently working on alternatives” to hopefully “come later next year with our own Röyksopp show”.

Both Falls and Southbound have stated they are currently looking into replacements for Röyksopp & Robyn’s headline set. Keep an eye on Music Feeds as more details emerge.
