Metal juggernauts Fear Factory might be making their way to our shores as a part of Soundwave 2015, according to promoter AJ Maddah, who reached out to founding member Dino Cazares via Twitter.
“Are you jerks ready to play #SW15?,” wrote Maddah. To which Cazares replied a succinct, “FUCK YEAH!!!!! We are ready.”
Plans for their addition to the Soundwave family started back in February when Cazares thoughtfully offered to take Megadeth’s spot on the 2014 bill, after Dave Mustaine and co pulled out of the event. Unfortunately there wasn’t enough time to get visas in order and plans had to be put on the back-burner.
While the official lineup isn’t expected until August, the details around SW15 are already starting to take shape. Fear Factory last graced our shores in 2013 when they played their 1995 masterpiece Demanufacture in its entirety.
Maddah said he has also invited Japanese nu-metal band Maximum The Hormone to Soundwave 2015 and is waiting to see what happens, while eclectic Melbourne metallers Ne Obliviscaris have been confirmed as part of the Soundwave 2015 lineup.
