Festival Of The Sun 2014 officially kicks off on Friday, 13th December at the Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park in NSW and according to a recent post on the official FOSTUN Facebook page, the likes of You Am I, The Rubens and Ash Grunwald will be playing to a sold out crowd.
The lineup for this year’s Festival Of The Sun was unveiled back in August to many cheers from fans of the East Coast event. The Black Friday edition of the festival will feature the aforementioned headliners as well as major support from The Beards, Kingswood, Spit Syndicate, and more.
“Festival of the Sun is officially SOLD OUT!! There won’t be any further releases or tickets available at the gate,” the event’s Facebook missive opens, adding, “Thanks to everyone that purchased tickets to this years event. We promise to show you a real good time.. pack your party pants!!”
FOTSUN organisers pride themselves on the boutique feel of the event, releasing just 3000 tickets to the summer’s most entertaining beachside costume party, which included two nights free beachside camping for both days of the event.
Shortly after tickets went on sale, promoter Scott Mesiti dropped Music Feeds a line to share some good news:
“FOTSUN is selling the best it ever has. We’ve sold 85% of our ticket allocation and we’re on track for a record sell out. We’re also seeing a bigger increase in extended stays with a huge chunk of festivalgoers staying a few extra days either side of the festival.”
With Mesiti’s prediction now come to fruition, 2013 is set to be the biggest Festival Of The Sun yet.
