‘April Sun In Cuba’ Hitmakers Dragon Are Headlining A Potato Festival In NSW

Are you tired of the city life? Summer on the run? Well, why not book yourself a little getaway to the NSW potato mecca of Robertson in the Southern Highlands for a spud-fuelled extravaganza starring Australian rock legends Dragon?

The ‘April Sun In Cuba’ hitmakers have been tapped to headline this year’s instalment of the Robertson Potato Festival, happening at the town’s showground across Saturday, 4th May and Sunday, 5th May.

Dragon – ‘April Sun In Cuba’

Former Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s favourite band will be taking the stage on the Saturday night, diving deep into their discography to deliver a glorious musical mashup of nostalgic hits and fan faves.

Also on the music lineup, multi-MO award winner Peter Byrne will be bringing his ‘Forever Diamond’

tribute show ‘Forever Diamond’ to the stage, delivering a 50-year tribute to the music of Neil Diamond, while celebrity judge Emma Watkins AKA “Emma Wiggle” will also be on the scene to judge the new “Hessians on the Field” pet competition.

The proud agricultural town’s annual potato festival boasts a spud-tacular roster of celebrity chefs (including inaugural MasterChef series winner Julie Goodwin), as well as seminars, workshops, competitions and live music.

Adorably, the township has announced it will be rebranding itself to “Robspudson” this year in honour of the event.
