Festival Of The Sun is back to ring in the summer with another scorching music lineup.
The Port Macquarie frolic has just dropped a blinder of a bill for 2017, featuring a triple j devotee’s wet dream of acts, headed up by blues diva Meg Mac, indie crooners Ball Park Music and vintage rock n’ rollers The Preatures.
There’s also Horrorshow, Holy Holy, Kim Churchill, Bad//Dreems, Sampa the Great and The Bennies, plus Ali Barter, Ivan Ooze and loads more local talent up the bloody wazoo, including a triple J Unearthed act still TBA. View the full roster, below.
“After such positive feedback on last year’s larger lineup and bigger side stage artists, we’ve continued to build FOTSUN in 2017 and are looking toward a bright future,” says FOTSUN Festival Director, Simon Luke.
“We’re really proud of the fact the FOTSUN experience is so unique that we attract lots of artists and industry who simply attend to hang out and catch up, including many past performers, who are always welcome!”
The three-day NSW regional romp will go down across the weekend of December 7th, 8th and 9th at Port Mac’s Breakwall Tourist Park, with the fun blasting off on Thursday night with the return of the fest’s BYO “silent comedy” spectacular, food trucks and free workshops, with bands starting four hours earlier on Friday (midday instead of 4pm).
Speaking of blasting off, this year’s official them is “outer space” (pew! pew!) and punters are encouraged to dress accordingly.
The fest will again be offering a free shuttle bus service for FOTSUNners who live within a 10km radius of the festival grounds and aren’t staying on-site, while VIP camping area Tent City will be back offering close-to-the-action accommo for out-of-towners.
Tickets will go on sale from Thursday, 31st of August at 10am, and after last year’s instalment sold out in just one week (a FOTSUN record), you’ll need to get the jets on if you don’t want to crash and burn.
