Homegrown electronic duo Flight Facilities have joined forces with American soul singer Aloe Blacc for their latest cut, ‘Better Than Ever’.
The latest bop from Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell continues the eclectic pair’s penchant for moving outside their comfort zone – the catchy three-minute tune feels miles away from, say, the downtempo electronica of ‘Clair De Lune’.
“We try to explore all genres with our music,” say Flight Facilities about the track, “and ‘Better Than Ever’ may be as close to pop as we’ve ever been.”
Aloe Blacc shines on the song – if that name doesn’t immediately ring a bell, you may recall Blacc from his 2010 earworm ‘I Need A Dollar’, or for teaming up with Avicii for 2013’s hit ‘Wake Me Up’.
