Flight Facilities To Perform Live With Melbourne Symphony Orchestra

Written by Mitch Feltscheer on May 1, 2015

If you thought Flight Facilities music was already majestic enough, think again, as the boys are about to send their inimitable style of dance tunes to the next level, pairing up with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for one night of blissful outdoor magic.

Under the stars of the outdoor amphitheatre at Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Saturday, 17th October, Hugo and Jimmy and a bunch of mates with a bunch of instruments will guide you through the past five years of their catalogue, along with spectacular visual accompaniment and a couple of new arrangements, in what will will be their only Melbourne show for the year.

Talking of their adoration for orchestral sounds the duo said, “Long before making Clair de lune, we’ve both shared a love for classical music. Playing alongside an orchestra was almost inconceivable when we started Flight Facilities, but now we’ve been given the chance to collaborate and perform with one of Australia’s greatest.”

The gig, whose tickets go on sale 9am Wednesday May 6th, is apart of the 2015 Melbourne Festival, the full program of which, will be announced on August 4th.
