Foster The People Return With Psych-Tinged Jam, ‘Imagination’

Channeling a bit of their inner Tame Impala on this one, Foster The People return with a trippy new single in ‘Imagination’.

Following on from their previous singles ‘Style’ and ‘Worst Nites’, Foster The People delve into some heady dreamscapes with their latest, with ‘Imagination’ being buoyed by psych-licked guitar and keyboard and of course, Foster’s oddly hypnotic vocals.

“I think the quality that makes us distinctly human is our ability to live in duality,” Foster has said of the band’s new track. “We comprehend the present external world we’re in, while having an internal dialogue about what it all means.”

“Our internal life is a universe, worthy to be explored and engaged. A dangerous place full of desires, undiscovered and unfulfilled. In our imagination, we can escape our reality and create a new one.”

Foster The People’s last record Sacred Hearts Club, was released in 2016.
