Frank Ocean Plotting New Album

After declaring late last year that his debut album Channel Orange may be his last, Frank Ocean‘s creative juices have obviously peaked enough for him to begin work on a follow-up.

Ocean’s producer on the record – Om’Mas Keith – has told Billboard that he and Ocean have had initial discussions for creating his second solo album.

“He came over to the studio and said we’re about to get back to work again,” Keith said.

“So it’s just that creative talk, where we know we’re about to get back into the studio soon. I’m just not sure when.”

Quietly, Keith is pretty excited about what they might create in the studio, saying he left Ocean in “epic” form when they finished putting together Channel Orange.

“Where I left with him at the end of recording Channel Orange, he was epic,” Keith said.

“I can only imagine where he’s at now. I think his prowess will only grow as the years go past. He’s better off now than he was a year ago creatively, harmonically, sonically and musically.”

Ocean recently got into a tussle with Chris Brown in the parking lot of an LA recording studio. He was considering laying charges against Brown for the injuries sustained in the incident, but decided against it.
