Future Of The Left’s Andrew Falkous Frustrated at Pitchfork Review

Future of the Left frontman Andrew Falkous has vented his frustrations over a critical review of the band’s new record The Plot Against Common Sense written by Ian Cohen and posted on Pitchfork.

Cohen’s review was posted on May 25 and gave The Plot Against Common Sense an overall score of 6 out of 10, while suggesting that Falkous has lost a step or two as a lyricist and songwriter: “It’s a shame that Falkous is playing to the cheap seats on The Plot Against Common Sense”.

Falkous took to his Twitter account the same day and posted the following:

As pointed out by The Music.com.au, the review got particularly harsh when it came to the track Robocop 4: Fuck Off Robocop with Cohen claiming that: “2012 will not see a more stupendously awesome song title or a worse song attached to it. Why it’s even a song to begin with is beyond me, as its musical values are pretty much nil.”

When responding to a fan via Twitter, Falkous explained why the review upset him.
