Gang Of Youths’ Cover Of David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’ Features In The Trailer For DC Movie ‘Justice League’

Gang Of Youths have nabbed a spot in the trailer for upcoming DC movie Justice League.

It’s their stirring cover of David Bowie‘s Heroes that has been used for the action-packed trailer which features the likes of Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot.

The Aussie group announced the news on social media this morning writing, “We’re so thrilled to have our cover of Bowies classic “Heroes” featured in the trailer for Justice League.”

They also followed it up with a very necessary, “Nanananananananananana Batman.”

Their cover was released back in January of last year after Bowie passed away with the band saying at the time, “At the risk of being trite, ‘Heroes’ changed my life.”

“The melody accompanying ‘I, I will be king / and you / you will be queen’ is to me, not only the finest melody the thin white duke ever wrote but among the finest ever written period.”

They also noted that if you listen to their own track ‘Radioface’, you’ll notice that the synth line at the end is a “nod” to ‘Heroes’.

The trailer has already been viewed nearly 8 million times and is the number eight trending video on YouTube at the time of writing so it’s massive exposure for the band.

The movie is slated for release in November.
