Gladys Berejiklian Still Denies Pill Testing Works, Despite More Evidence Showing That Pill Testing Works

In a totally wild, unpredictable, blindsiding, “never-saw-this-coming” turn of events, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian remains firm in her anti-pill testing stance despite a pill testing trial at Groovin The Moo over the weekend being deemed an “overwhelming success.”

In case you missed it, the Canberra leg at Groovin The Moo held a pill testing trial for the second year in a row and it all went relatively smoothly. 234 patrons came to get their substances tested, with the majority of them having MDMA, cocaine and ketamine.

However, seven substances presented contained n-ethylpentylone, which could have potentially fatal effects, and all seven of them were discarded according to the patrons’ wishes. Now if this isn’t proof that pill testing works, we’re not too sure what is.

But, alas, it’s still not enough for Gladys. Via The Music, Berejiklian spoke to 7 News and said there’s still no evidence that pill testing works.

“They haven’t shown there’s any evidence yet,” she said.

“My position on pill testing remains firm. I don’t think it works, I don’t think the evidence is there and I don’t support it.”

There’s really no hope, is there?
