Earlier in the week, Gorillaz shared a comic The Life Of Noodle and now they’ve followed it up with another one The Book Of Russel.
While Damon Albarn and co. haven’t officially confirmed a release date for new music, these comics all but confirm that the Gorillaz camp are firing on all four burners once again.
This comic follows Russel after Plastic Beach as he’s swept away to North Korea where he becomes “the country’s biggest attraction.”
Thankfully, he eventually returns to London with the comic ending on the statement, “the band was getting back together.”
This comes after one fan on Reddit said that he met Albarn who told him that the album would be finished in two weeks time.
Gorillaz collaborator Jamie Hewlett has promised that the album will be out in 2017 and if the album is done in two weeks time then that looks like a very achievable goal.
