US heavy metal outfit Gwar have launched a campaign to crowdfund a new comic book series.
It may not come as too much of a surprise for fans of the band, who’s essential thematic concept is based on science fiction-themed mythology – portraying the members as galactic warriors.
The comic, set to be called Gwar: Orgasmageddon and be written by Matt Miner, will apparently have four issues.
According to Metalsucks the series is described in a press release as “a blasphemous and blood-drenched 4-issue full-color comic book series.”
“Trampling through the past after being trapped in time by the cold and calculating Mr. Perfect, GWAR fights and kills and kills and KILLS, slogging their way through human history in a torrent of gore, blood, bile, and other assorted bodily fluids the way only the most famous satirical heavy metal band from the depths of outer space can,” continues the release.
Sounds pretty phenomenal to us.
