Hatchie Announces East Coast Tour Dates For 2022

A couple of months ago, Harriette Pilbeam (aka Hatchie) returned with her first new music since 2019 album Keepsake, a single titled ‘This Enchanted’.

Now, the dream-pop artist has announced a short run of east coast tour dates in support of the single for February. The run will kick off in Brisbane with a show at the Old Museum before continuing on to Sydney and Melbourne.

In between, she’ll also be performing as part of regional Queensland festival The Long Sunset, joining the likes of Angus and Julia Stone and Ball Park Music. See all dates below.

“‘This Enchanted’ encapsulates everything I wanted to do moving forward from my first album,” Hatchie said of ‘This Enchanted’ upon its arrival in September.

“I started writing it with Jorge [Elbrecht, producer] and Joe [Agius, guitarist] in February 2020 and completed it from afar in lockdown later in the year. We had been talking about making something dancey but shoegaze.

“It’s one of the more lighthearted, lyrically vague songs of my new recordings about falling in love; it’s not a perfect relationship, but you’re enthralled by one another and it’s an easy love. It’s one of the most fun songs I’ve written, so it was a no-brainer to pick it as my first solo release in almost two years.”
