Hear An Unreleased Freestyle From Eminem’s ‘The Slim Shady LP’ Era

A never-before-heard Eminem freestyle from 1999 has just hit our eardrums.

The track sees Marshall Mathers team up with his late best friend and D12 partner-in-rhyme Proof, who was shot dead back in 2006.

The seven-minute collab from back in The Slim Shady LP era happened live on Tim Westwood’s New York Live show, but somehow has never managed to reach our ears until now.

Westwood dug it out of the archives to mark the ten year anniversary of another highly-frothed freestyle that Eminem and another D12 member, Mr. Porter, did on Westwood’s show back in 2009.

The track features a bunch of vintage Shady quips like this one: “Forget the controversy surrounding me / And all these fake ass press people surrounding me, hounding me. / But I don’t give a damn ’cause I smoke a pound of weed / Y’all don’t want none of me.”

Not to mention gags about eating crack and dancing like a B-boy.

Listen to Eminem and Proof’s freestyle for yourself below. RIP Proof.
