Eminem Announces New Album ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)’

Eminem has announced the release of his new album, ‘’The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)’, which will be unveiled in the coming summer. During the NFL Draft, a trailer for the album was revealed. Eminem was himself present in the draft along with the past and present members of the Detroit Lions, which happens to be his hometown.

In the trailer, Slim Shady who happens to be Eminem’s long-time alter ego is seen saying “Through his complex and oft-criticized, tongue-twisting rhymes, the blonde anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies.” Another character, 50cent, who happens to be Eminem’s long-time collaborator also says some lines “He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath. The same rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise. Join me as we recreate the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady.”

“I knew it was only a matter of time for Slim,” says Eminem at the end of the trailer.

Dr. Dre revealed the fact that Eminem was going to release a new album when he made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last month. He also mentioned that he “got songs on it and it’s fire.”

Eminem created the character “Slim Shady” back in 1997 to stand up to the failure of his album ‘Infinite’. Slim Shady was a disgusting, foul-mouthed, and kind of shady character who introduced himself to the open world with an opening couplet “Hi, kids, do you like violence? / Wanna see me stick nine-inch nails through each one of my eyelids?”

The last album released by Eminem was ‘Music to be Murdered By’. It was released in 2020.

You can stream ‘Music to be Murdered’ from here.
