Hear The Dead Daisies’ Cover Of The Who’s ‘Join Together’

Rock n’ roll — it’s bloody awesome, which is something The Dead Daisies well and truly know, having just released their rockin’ new single Join Together, which is actually a blazing cover of the classic song by The Who.

Offering up a modern take on the original track, The Dead Daisies vocalist John Corabi (Mötley Crüe, The Scream) explains the band’s motivations behind reinterpreting the song.

“We wanted to do Join Together cause it’s obviously a classic Who song,” he says. “I just love the power of the guitar and bass when it kicks in with the heavy riff on the second verse. Always have.

“The vocals are pretty easy to get the audience involved, and it’s been a crowd favourite when we play it live. We knew the minute we started jamming, it was going to sound great. It’s our tip of the hat to a legendary classic band.

“You may think of us as ‘rockers’ but, at the end of the day we’re just huge music fans. Just like our audience.”

The Join Together cover, which can be streamed in full below, is the second single The Dead Daisies have released from their hotly anticipated third album Make Some Noise, which is due out on 5th August. The band say the record calls for unity in a world which is so often hurt by division.

After all, if there is one thing Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure taught us, it’s that rock n’ roll can save the world.

Corabi recently spoke to Music Feeds about Make Some Noise, as well as The Dead Daisie’s Australian tour plans.

The Dead Daisies have a busy year ahead of them, with a UK tour and a string of festival sets lined up, as well as a tour with KISS and a co-headline tour with The Answer.
