Bored to Death is some new noise from Blink 182, the first single the band has released since the acrimonious departure of founding member Tom DeLonge in 2015.
The four-minute long ditty – which features the rather capable Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio standing in for Tom DeLonge – features the band’s continuing ability to deliver big smiles of pop punk, even if the song is about being a bit despondent. They’re not quite faded yet.
Presumably, the single is going to come from the band’s upcoming album, rumoured to be titled California – the album’s whose recording led to DeLonge’s split.
Speaking of DeLonge, he plans to carry out his ambitious visions for his band Angels & Airwaves, which includes scoring films and releasing concurrent novels, as well as writing children’s books and scoring science fiction films.

UPDATE: Blink 182 have unevield even more details of their new album, confirmed to be titled California.
