It’s highly likely that the music history books of the future will refer to 2016 as the year of The Rubens.
The Menangle-bred indie rock fivesome are currently riding high, coasting off the success of their Hottest 100-topping single Hoops with a stint on this year’s massive Groovin The Moo bill.
And, luckily, they’ve filmed the whole thing, giving us mere mortals a glimpse into what it’s like to be one of the country’s most in-demand acts on the biggest regional festival tour in town.
Tracking the boys from the tour bus, to the green room to the stage, the clip is filled with wacky shenanigans and epic moments, culminating in frontman Sam Margin crowd-surfing on a camp mattress before dousing the crowd – and himself – in a glorious champagne shower. The good kind.
Check it out below and just try not to pop your cork over the fact that the fellas will be following it up by touring the country on their biggest ever headlining tour this June. Dates and deets under the vid!
