HOLEANDCORNER Debut Lineup Announced

Illusive and Funf Touring have announced the launch of a new travelling indoor dance festival set to take over venues in Melbourne and Sydney. Taking place over the Queen’s Birthday weekend this June, HOLEANDCORNER boasts a lineup featuring Hot Chip DJs, Matthew Dear, and Guy J.

Since forming in 2000, Hot Chip have stood as one of the global electronic and pop music scenes’ most forward-thinking and idiosyncratic acts, constantly striving to do things their own way while producing albums that bear irrepressibly catchy pop hooks and finely crafted modern production.

Co-founder of both Ghostly International and its dancefloor offshoot, Spectral Sound, Texas native Matthew Dear is a dance music polymath, with DJing, producing, remixing, singing, songwriting, and band-leading just a few of the strings attached to Dear’s considerable and sought-after bow.

Meanwhile, HOLEANDCORNER will bring fans the debut of Henry Saiz‘s live show. Saiz will be performing exclusively at HOLEANDCORNER, bringing the distinctive tunes from his acclaimed 2013 LP, Reality Is For Those Who Are Not Strong Enough To Confront Their Dreams, to the live stage.

HOLEANDCORNER hits Melbourne on Saturday, 7th June at Shed 14 in Docklands, before coursing up to Sydney the next evening to take over Home Nightclub in Darling Harbour. Each night will be infused with the spirit and flavour of its mother city to recreate something familiar yet different.
